Speech recognition good, quality sucks!, May 21, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: VXi 203012 TalkPro UC2 Binaural Single-Wire Headset with DSP Landline Telephone Accessory (Office Product) As far as speech recognition accuracy this is one of the best that I have used. However, the problems with it outweighed the good. The first problem I was a very tight fitting head piece. It was so tight that it dug into my scalp. I could not wear it for more than 1 hour. When I called VXI tech support the person on the other end insinuated that I have a large head because they had never heard that before. I had three other people try on the headset and they all said the same thing.
I decided to give it a chance and deal with the discomfort. About two weeks later the sound became intermittent. I tried it on two other computers with the same results. At this point I gave up and returned it to Amazon.
I was generous by giving three stars, but the speech recognition was excellent.

There are two camps regarding Dragon. One set says they can't live without it, the other set says they can't get it to work.
Here's the secret-get the best USB headset you can afford.
I received the VXI headset sooner than I anticipated (three days). I unpacked it plugged it in and started dictating. I am a very long user of Dragon NaturallySpeaking, and it is extremely rare to dictate more than a half an hour without one mistake.
I can honestly say that this VXI headset did just that. The microphone that it has, has been greatly improved and it is a joy to dictate again without once touching the keyboard.
As an added bonus the speakers are stereo so breaking to listen to some great music once in a while sounds fantastic as well.
