Finally, A solution that has been plauging True 5.1 Headsets, December 31, 2011 This review is from: Psyko Carbon PC 5.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset (Electronics) I have been gaming for a while now. I have owned the Astro A40 2011 edition, the Tritton AX Pro and the Turtle Beach PX5. The A40 was supposed to be, in theory, the best headset out there. While it beat the PX5's easily in terms of sound quality ( due to the PX5's 2.4Ghz frequency) and the pro's, it could not beat the Ax pro's in 3D audio positioning. After being dissapointed, it was time for me to go back online to look up a good headset, as I had to send the pro's and PX5's back because they just did not make the cut. I found a company called Psyko Audio. Since I really do not like startup compaines, I thought this was a waste of time after I heard of it. My thoughts changed as I read they won CES Most Innovative award, an award not to be given out so easily. After learning this, I decided to buy the Carbon's (Updated Psyko 5.1 from 2009.)

God's Gift from Heaven, May 24, 2012 This review is from: Psyko Carbon PC 5.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset (Electronics) For starters, some clarification. When it comes to judging this headset i am not judging it based on its ability in every field available. That is just too broad. I decided to judge it in the field in which it choose to compete in, gaming. When it comes to competing against other headsets, it out-preforms tremendously. It is definitely one of the best headsets out on the market. The fact that it is realistic surround sound versus the standard virtual surround sound makes for a major difference. When it comes to virtual you can here things around you but it is hard to detect exactly where. With the realistic surround sound setup it never fails. It is much more noticeable where the sound originated and allows for a faster response. When it comes to games like first person shooters, this can decide who ends up on the kill board.
A few downsides to the headset are the fact that it is a little heavy, which is not bad once you realize that the headpiece cushions are removable and... Read more

Simply put it produces great sound and allows the user to know within 15 minutes of direction of where the sound it coming from. Recommended for anyone considering a gaming headset, because it is the best of the best.
