Great Headphones!!!, December 23, 2005 By Darren (USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: HP Stereo Headset with Bass Vibration (Office Product) I'm not an expert on headphone audio performance, however, I believe these headphones are quite an excellent bargain.
First off, audio isn't Hewlett packard's forte, but the sound quality on these are pretty clear. One way I try to critique the clearity of sound is listening to the minute aspects; such as the clanging of symbols from a band or the finer digitized sound of a rap or techno song.
*The low end(bass) sound that it produces is exceptional, when turning the bass controller to max, one can definitly feel the rumble.
*The noise cancellation is impeccable, I get no leakage from the headphones to the mic. The mic itself is very versatile as the goose neck adjustment allows it to bend to ur liking.
*The weight of the set itself is decent, u can look up the exact weight. It does feel alil hefty on ur ears at first, but I still need to let it break in. And the tightness of the headphones have on ur ears adds to the uncomfortableness... Read more
HP Headset: Good but there are better out there..., May 31, 2007 By This review is from: HP Stereo Headset with Bass Vibration (Office Product) Now the reason I gave the HP Stereo headset w/ Bass Vibration a 3 as opposed to a 4 or 5 is for good reason. I bought this headset for $30 at FRYS ELECTRONICS in Dallas, Texas. For a while, they were fantastic. They are very comfortable at first although a little heavy. The sound quality is a little better than the cost however it's anything but breathtaking. The headset has a vibrator in each ear, that is powered by a usb cord separate from the headphone and microphone jack you must also plug in. There is a battery pack for the vibrators if you'd rather replace batteries than use usb. The mic is good quality but the goose neck eventually came so loose that the mic would no longer support itself and fall all the way down to my neck. I had them replaced at FRYS. About 4 or 5 months later the mic is loose but it still works, however the cord has begun winding itself up. I never tried to roll up the cords, I run it straight from my head to my computer and set them on my desk when not in... Read more
