Large Room Echo control, mutable, good range., January 18, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Phoenix Audio MT201 Solo Mic (Electronics) I use this Mic both at home and at work. This Mic has great echo suppression, a mute button, and a glowing indicator for when it is active. It has its own 1/8" headphone-style jack in the rear, which I use to feed into an audio amplifier. I use this Mic in professional video-conferences at work, with dozens of sites scattered around the world. We used to have echo problems when people used other Mics. We bought everyone one of these, and that fixed the problem. You plug your speakers into the Mic for echo control to work. It works on both PC and Macintosh. It can easily pickup all the sounds in the room. It's so sensitive, that people in the far back of a large video-conference room can be heard whispering to each other on Mic! It handles dynamic range very well -- it doesn't over-boost nearby speakers, so you don't end up too hot with people sitting near and talking loud, and you still pickup people sitting far and speaking softly.
